What is the LGBTQ Community? The LGBT community stands lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and other queer individuals banded together by common culture and social movements. These communities champion pride, diversity, individuality, sexuality, and an environment that fosters and protects ALL individuals.

They have been researched for validity and Cami also recommends them as great organizations to support! Feel free to visit the sites below to find out more information.
Optional Organizations:
1) Lost-n-Found Youth ( Lost-n-Found Youth is an Atlanta Based nonprofit founded in 2011 by an Atlanta activist group led by Rick Westbrook. Their goal is to end homelessness for LGBTQ and all sexual minority youth by giving them the tools and support to live independently and safely. After being turned away countless times trying to place queer youth into local shelters they called for a public town hall meeting to address the problem and their disapproval. Through the meeting they were able to discern that none of the shelters were actively working to protect homeless LGBTQ youth so they decided take matters into their own hands starting Lost-n-Found. With the support of Atlanta Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence they were able to secure a privately funded emergency shelter for all homeless LGBTQ youth. • Donate to Lost-n-Found Youth
